Fat Burning Secrets for Women

By
Body Fat Distribution
Women bear almost double the amount of body fat as men, primarily to help them carry and nourish babies. Fat is the major energy source needed for fetal development and protection. We have no control over where the fat cells decide to swell and shrink.
The fat cells in the lower body, where women tend to put on inches, are more prone to fat storage. The fat cells in the upper body, where men tend to carry extra weight, are more prone to releasing fat. Women who have dieted will notice that as they lose weight, body fat starts melting away from the upper body first, followed by the
persevering lower body fat.

Yet the reverse is true when gaining weight. The fat cells in the hips, thighs, butt and abs will enlarge first.

Woman who have yoyo dieted for years have an upper body that is disproportionately smaller than her lower body.

Hormones

During pregnancy and the menstrual cycle, hormones encourage water retention in the fat cells. The excess fluid slows down circulation and makes it even more difficult to mobilize fat.

The progesterone in women's bodies affects appetite and mood. It causes hunger during the second half of your menstrual cycle and is responsible for the ravenous appetite experienced during pregnancy.

Progesterone also causes sluggishness and sleepiness making one less inclined to exercise. Women who take birth control pills gain on average 3 - 5 pounds as a side effect.

Pregnancy

Throughout pregnancy, fat cells in a woman's body not only expand, but often multiply in number. When the pregnancy is over, those fat cells remain and are always ready to enlarge when the body takes in more calories than it uses. In addition, the thyroid gland, which drives the metabolism, becomes notoriously sluggish during pregnancy to help the body hold onto fat. Not surprisingly, after two or three children, the weight loss dilemma may be compounded.

Menopause

During peri-menopause (the 10 years prior to menopause), women begin producing less estrogen, which is a protective hormone. We also begin to sleep less and our appetite becomes stimulated. As peri-menopause begins, fat tends to accumulate around the waist and chest, increasing our risk of heart disease.
Aging

Beginning in the mid-20s, women lose an average of about 7 pounds of muscle mass each decade (compared to 5 pounds for men). To make matters worse, non-exercising women typically gain 1 -2 pounds of fat a year - for life. And the fat gain number can be much higher depending on lifestyle choices.

So, by your mid-40s, you have probably lost close to 15 pounds of metabolically active muscle and replaced it with over 20 pounds of lethargic fat - and that's conservative! Your metabolism has dramatically slowed and your body composition has changed in unfavorable proportions.

To make matter worse, if you have dieted (I imagine you've attempted one or two), you have accelerated the muscle loss process. Dieting without exercise can lead to 25% to 28% muscle loss.

Aging also makes excess fat harder to hide. As skin begins to lose its elasticity and sag, it has a harder time containing fat cells, giving the skin a rippled appearance often referred to as cellulite.

Why Men Have It Easier

Testosterone stimulates bone and muscle growth. Men don't lose testosterone as fast as we lose estrogen. Men have more muscle, more bone minerals, and tend to eat about 35% more calories than women. Men also respond faster to exercise training.

Although men don't generally live as long as women, they start and end with more bone, more muscle and more testosterone compared to women. By the time a woman is 60 years old, she probably has 20 to 30 pounds of muscle on her frame -IF she's not exercising.

Women also face many social and emotional challenges, which can lead them to become a slave to the scale, avoid exercise for fear of bulking up and fall for spot reduction and quick fix solutions, all of which only compound the problem, These fears, misconceptions and bugaboos, which hold so many women hostage, could easily fill a book, but let's skip over all that and talk about solutions that DO work.

Now that you understand the special physiological challenges women face, let's talk about how to overcome them to attain the strong, trim, fit body you really want.

Exercise is the key to fat burning. If you do one thing incorporate 2 - 3 strength and cardio workouts into your weekly routine using the following 10 tips. The results are guaranteed!
Here are my top 10 fat-burning secrets for women.

1. Warm up before a strength training session - Warming up increases blood flow to muscles by about 55%, giving you better muscle contraction. You'll sweat earlier, which helps to regulate your body temperature. It also jump starts the neuromuscular connection which initiates the release of carbohydrate and fat enzymes and hormones while reducing your perceived exertion during strength training. Just 5 minutes of walking or cycling will meet this requirement.

2. Vary your cardio exercises - Alternate between two or more cardiovascular activities like walking and cycling or kickboxing and step aerobics. This will help to optimally develop your cardiovascular fitness, maintain the element of fun in exercise, help you avoid over-training, as well as injury. Bottom line, you will expend more calories.

3. Incorporate several cardio techniques - Use a combination of continuous, interval, circuit and Fartlek (speed play) training. Changing techniques forces your body to adapt and become more efficient. Vary the intensity and modify impact styles. For example, if you have been walking the same path at the same pace every day, begin to incorporate bursts of acceleration intermittently. The underlying principle is that change is what keeps the body progressing, making improvements and burning fat.

4. Plan your workouts in Phases - Organize your workouts into a cyclic structure. For example, for two to three weeks, exercise at a lower intensity for 45 to 60 minutes, and then, for the next two to three weeks, do 20 to 30 minutes at your highest intensity. The following 2 to 3 weeks go at a moderate intensity for 30 to 45 minutes. This system allows you to maintain a high level of fitness and not over-train. This cycling of workout structures will help your body become more efficient at fat burning

5. Circuit Train - Perform several strengthening exercises interspersed with a short cardio segments. For example perform a leg press, lateral pull down and abdominal crunch followed by 3 minutes of cycling. Then repeat another 3 strength exercises followed by 3 minutes of walking. Circuit training has a lower dropout rate, is an efficient calorie burner, increases muscular strength and decreases body fat.

6. Strength Train with Multi Joint exercises - Choose exercises that work compound muscle groups - meaning more than one muscle group at a time. This will give you the most mileage per exercise. Examples include squats, lunges, and push ups. For every pound of muscle on your body you need 35 to 50 calories per day to sustain it, while every pound of fat on your body requires only a modest 2 calories per day.

7. Exercise first thing in the morning - Morning exercisers have a higher likelihood of showing up. Later in the day, the odds that you'll skip your workout increase as interruptions arise and fatigue sets in. Morning exercise also helps regulate your hormone response, telling your body to release fat and kick start your metabolism.

8. Eat a "primer" meal prior to working out - Having a small balanced meal prior to exercise will help you burn fat. After you eat, your blood sugar rises and exercise acts like insulin to help regulate blood glucose.

Eating will also give you the energy for a more intense workout - you will therefore burn more calories.

9. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day - Food has a thermic effect, meaning it takes energy (calories) for your body to digest the food you eat. Eating several times throughout the day increases the thermic effect, so you burn more calories. Eating more often also keeps you from feeling like you are being deprived of food and prevents hunger from setting in, which can cause you to binge eat.

10. Train with intensity - To get the full benefits of exercise, you must graduate from the "pink weights" and moderate walking. Do not be afraid to increase your resistance and challenge your muscles and cardiovascular system. In order to change, you have to push your physical limits beyond what you are accustomed to.

I am going to leave you with a bonus secret regarding hydration. In order for fat to be metabolized, it must first be released from the fat cell and then be transported by the bloodstream where it is shunted to the liver and other active tissues to be used as fuel. If you are in a dehydrated state, the liver has to come to the aid of the kidneys and can't focus on it's role of releasing fat. (See chapter x on hydration)

To sum things up, you really can attain a feminine, firm, fit and younger appearance regardless of your age or inherited traits. You can overcome any weaknesses and trouble spots to a certain degree with balanced and symmetrical strength, cardiovascular and flexibility training, combined with making nutritious food choices.

Focus on being the best you can be. A lean and healthy body is both realistic and achievable.

Fat Burning Foods and Recipes - Eat and Stay Thin!

By
What's the fun in dieting when all you are allowed to eat is rabbit food? Its no wonder we never stick to our diets! Wouldn't it be great if we were allowed to eat as much as we wanted, but not pick up any weight? Or better still, lose some of it!
Here are some great fat burning foods and recipes that will allow you to eat when you feel hungry, but will also help boost your metabolism so that you're losing stubborn belly fat at the same time.

I know you're probably keen to get to the recipes (we all know how tough it can be to think of what's for dinner every night!), but let us start by discussing the kind of fat burning foods you can incorporate into your snacks and meals. Try and include one or two of these foods in every meal and you will be moving one step closer to your ideal weight.

Fat Burning Foods
  1. Beans. There, I said it. I know beans aren't everybody's favorite food (well, not mine anyway), so I thought I would get it out of the way first. Beans contain plenty of protein and fibre, so they are great for building muscle and the fibre helps prevent your body from absorbing fat. Of course, the more muscle you build, the faster you will be burning fat too. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories your body needs to burn to sustain the muscles. Building muscle mass is therefore a great way to get your body burning fat naturally.

  2. Eggs are also packed with muscle building protein, which is why eggs are a favorite food for body builders. Eggs also contain B12 which destroys fat cells.

  3. Dairy products contain calcium - also great for boosting metabolism. Low fat cheese and milk contains plenty of calcium and carbohydrates which also help to keep your body from storing fat. Some people advise only using skim milk, but most dietitians will tell you that not all fat is bad for you and recommend low fat milk rather than skim milk.

  4. Green Vegetables provide your body with the nutrients it needs to keep healthy and stay thin. Steam your vegetables to keep them crisp and help retain all those fat burning nutrients. Oh, and try not to drown your lettuce in salad dressing, as that would defeat the purpose of eating them in the first place! If you want a little dressing on your salad, use the light dressings or drizzle some olive oil over the top of your salads.

  5. Wholegrain cereal and oatmeal is a great breakfast option. It contains fibre and complex carbohydrates, and it satisfies your hunger quicker so you don't eat more than you should.

  6. Olive oil is a far better option than regular cooking oil which contains too much fat for our liking. Simply replacing your regular cooking oil with olive oil will give you a much healthier meal, and your cholesterol levels will be kept in check.

  7. Lean meat such as lean beef, chicken, pork and turkey are natural additions to this list thanks to the much needed muscle building protein they add to your diet. Turkey and skinless chicken breasts are probably the best metabolism boosting, muscle building foods you can eat.

  8. Fish is said to be great brain food, but has fat burning benefits as well. Salmon is high in Omega 3 content which lowers your leptin levels and helps burn calories. Tuna contains muscle building protein, and sardines are a body building favorite because of their high levels of protein and fish oil - another awesome fat burner.
Fat Burning Recipes
Having the ingredients is one thing, but putting them together to create a great tasting, fat burning meal can be a daunting task. These 3 fat burning recipes prove that eating healthily does not necessarily have to be a boring, tasteless dining experience.

1. Turkey Meatloaf
Ingredients:
  • 1 package of lean ground turkey meat
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 6 chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 bunch of chopped scallions
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 packet of buttermilk hidden valley mix
  • 1 tbl. of organic ketchup
Instructions:
Mix all of the ingredients (except the ketchup) together in a bowl until thoroughly combined with the meat. Place in a baking pan and pat down, then spread ketchup on top.
Place in the oven at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
For the last few minutes, switch to broil so that the top gets a nice golden brown finish.

2. Cabbage Soup
Ingredients:
  • 5 carrots, chopped
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1 large head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (15 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
  • 2 quarts tomato juice
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 10 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
Instructions:
Place the carrots, onions, tomatoes, cabbage, green beans, peppers, and celery into a large pot. Add onion soup mix, tomato juice, beef broth, and enough water to cover the vegetables. Simmer until vegetables are tender.

3. Tuna Salad
Ingredients:
  • Spice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4oz Tuna
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil
  • Mesculin Greens
  • Red Onions
  • 1 tbl Balsamic Vinegar
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and coat the tuna on both sides. Place one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and sear each side on medium heat. In a bowl, throw in the lettuce, onions, balsamic, and olive oil and toss together.

Cut tuna in thin slices and place on salad.

These are just 3 examples of how anybody can make great tasting meals using fat burning foods. Your meals do not necessarily need to be extravagant or even expensive. Use the list of foods in the list above, and try to incorporate 2 or 3 of these ingredients into your meals every day.

How To Burn Fat Faster? Make Sure You Eat The Best Fat Burning Foods!

By
When it comes to knowing how to burn fat it always boils down to the fact that you are what you eat. And, if you want to lose weight, it is also about what types of foods you eat every day. Believe it or not, there are some fat burning foods that are designed to help you burn fat stores in the body much faster than other foods that you probably already include in your daily diet.

Variety is the spice of life and also of your diet. Most of us eat the same things because we know we like them and it's easy. Now, we are challenging you to expand your culinary repertoire and try new tastes that will not only increase your nutrient level but your ability to burn more fat.

What Are The Best Fat Burning Foods To Include in My Diet?

Here are a few of the foods that can help you burn more fat. You should always bear in mind that you need to minimize unhealthy fats and increase your daily consumption of healthier lean meats, fish and vegetables.

1. Whole grains

White flour contains a lot of sugars. Eating foods made from it like pasta and rice can spike your sugar and cause you to overeat. Besides, they are high in calories and most of that is turned to fat in the body. Whole grains, on the other hand, are digested slower so that the blood sugar doesn't spike. And, it takes longer to digest them so more calories are needed for the task. Be sure to check food labels to be sure you are getting whole grain in your cereals, breads, rice and pastas.

2. Eat beans

Beans are an excellent source of fiber and protein. They fill you up and add bulk to any meal. Try eating at least one meatless meal a day or per week to cut down on fat calories.

3. Milk

Milk provides calcium to the body for stronger bones. Even skim milk has calcium so you don't have to stick with whole milk. If you are currently drinking whole milk, take the step down approach and gradually change to two percent, one percent and then skim milk.

4. Broccoli

This superfood is full of helpful nutrients for the body. And, the nature of the vegetable is low in calories and takes longer to digest.

5. Salmon

Omega-3 fatty acids are important for heart health and immunity. The level of leptin in the body is lowered so you can burn fat faster. Eating fish two or three times a week is better and more filling than taking a supplement.

6. Oatmeal

Eating it for breakfast will keep you full and the body using lots of energy to digest it throughout the morning.

If you have to sweeten it, use honey or agave nectar. Raw rolled oats have more value than instant oatmeal with extra calories and sugar. It doesn't have to be painful to change your diet.

In fact, this is a lifestyle change so it will pay for itself in lost fat and increased health. Start with little switches and build up to a totally revamped way of eating that you can sustain for the rest of your life.

Fat Burning Exercises for Women - Are You Ready to Put in the Effort?

By
Most women are keen to learn fat burning exercises for women but the important question is whether they are ready to put in the effort. Before starting an exercise routine it is important to understand the reasons behind it. If the aim is to get rid of the excessive fat, then be ready to put in the effort. The intensity rather than the duration of the workout is effective in burning the fat. When the intensity is high, more calories are burnt and when calories are burnt the fat loss starts to happen.

The most important decision is to choose those fat burning exercises for women that are suited to your normal lifestyle. So, if the lady is used to walking she should select an exercise which adds that extra intensity when she is doing this familiar physical activity. It will be easy to graduate from leisurely walking to a more intense power walking style. As she progresses well she will see the loss of weight happening and will be enthused into putting in that extra intensity to accelerate the fat loss. So, from power walking she may ease into jogging and then running. The idea is to add intensity to your exercise activity.

If the lady likes to swim and is a fairly good swimmer then it is not going to be a wise suggestion to ask her to choose walking and jogging. She may be better off choosing fat burning exercises for women in the swimming pool. There are a few fat burning workouts that can be done in the swimming pool which add intensity to the workout and result in rapid fat loss. Choosing a workout routine that is totally unfamiliar to you may require a lot of new learning and effort. There is a risk of losing interest and not continuing with it after a few attempts.

Another important factor which can help is the time of day when you choose to work out. The best time would be after a good night's sleep. The body is rested and the stomach is empty. So, if you start an intense workout in the morning after warming up carefully the body will be forced to use the body fat reserves. The early morning fat burning exercises for women can be really useful as the body has to rely on the stored fat and not use up the energy stored after a meal. But there is a downside to this idea. Because the stomach is empty you may not be able to add the intensity to your fat burning workouts and if you are not careful you may experience fatigue and may have to go to work with a tired body.

While getting rid of fat in your calorie burning furnace it is important to have reasonably long and intense workouts followed by rest and recovery periods. The idea is to sustain the intense routine long enough so that the fat loss kicks in and afterwards have a rest and recovery period before you start on another of those intense fat burning exercises for women.

Master Weight Loss Success - Fat Burning Secrets For a Slim Body

By
Mastering weight loss is often a very difficult and emotional subject for many people. The simple fact is that it takes effort, and after years of a lifestyle of poor food choices and not enough exercise, weight loss becomes even more difficult. To even think about exercising or cutting back on comfort food can create fear and apprehension.

For many overweight people, exercising, even gently can create pain and fatigue fairly quickly and therefore it is extremely difficult to get over that very first hurdle but the truth is it has to be done. Our bodies are designed to move; we should be able to walk, run and play with ease. Even if disease or disability has affected our bodies, movement in any way possible can only bring great benefits, not only to our physique but to our minds as well.

I think it would be difficult to find one person on this wonderful Earth who doesn't have certain obstacles that they have to face. The majority of human beings don't like change; we like certainty. We all have our comfort zones and a requirement to step outside of them causes stressful emotions within the body and mind. But the wonderful thing is that stepping outside of our comfort zone means stepping into fresh air! It is never as frightening as it seems and can be quite exhilarating, bringing a sense of freedom and achievement. Successful people are those who don't just talk about doing something, they do it, and they continue to do it and when another challenge comes along, they do that as well.

Beginning a weight loss program should always start with setting specific goals. It is never enough to say "I want to lose weight". Spend some time dreaming about the ideal body you would like to have and write it down, taking note of how you feel, how easily you walk, the clothes you wear, the admiration you receive and the powerful messages you can hand on to others. Take the time to write your ideal weight loss three months from now, then six and then twelve and then your ultimate goal - how long will that take?

Get the excitement ripping through your body. Get rid of the excuses; if you have time to watch tv, you have time to get moving. If you need to, get a treadmill and stick it in front of the tv and make sure you use it - just ditch the excuses once and for all. Once you are on your way to achieving your goals, you will find that you love moving more. Your energy levels increase and you get a buzz when you achieve each new goal.

My life changed when I finally gave up my excuses. It took me more than 20 years to realise that the 'quick fixes' I had been falling prey too were not working for me - how dumb was I to believe that I could take magic pills and follow mad diets to watch the fat melt away?

The day my life changed was when I discovered a no-nonsense, no bs approach which has radically changed the way I approach all aspects of my health. I started with my mind before I started with my body. I discovered that my body type was largely (pun intended) endomorph and that I needed to put in more cardio than some types to get the fat moving. A little bit of weight training helps to stop my weight loss being due to losing lean body mass. My quick fixes still weren't working after 20+ years, and the slower approach which encourages your body to increase lean body mass (which in turn increases metabolism) and lose only fat is what is working for me - what a revelation! With a little effort, a slim body is yours as well.

And if there is still a bit of you that loves the quick and easy approach - visit my site to find out how to access the plan instantly [http://newstarthealthandfitness.com]

Fat Burning Foods and Fat Burning Exercises Are a Reality for Everyday Life

By
There are fat burning foods and exercises. The problem with diets is that they are diets. At the beginning with most diets you will lose some weight, maybe muscle and/or water. Not knowing what kind of weight you are losing causes a dilemma. If muscle is what you are losing, you are endangering your chances of burning fat, according to Rob Poulos, a fitness author.

Fat burning foods are not processed, prepared or fast foods, these foods affects fat burning hormones in our body that disrupts these hormones' relationship with
our brain. The fat burning foods consist of fruits, vegetables, fish, eggs and Greek yogurt. Whole grains are good for fiber which is important for a fat burning diet. Whole grains foods are brown rice, barley, wild rice, oatmeal, and popcorn. Beans and nuts are filling and nutritious, 21-30 grams of fiber daily is recommended.

Instead of a diet mentality a person needs to focus on a changed lifestyle mentality, long-term, eating nutritious foods that will satisfy your body and stop the cravings. By incorporating nourishing and nutritious foods in your diet you will change. Fruit and vegetables are the staple of a changed lifestyle. Popcorn, nuts and seeds make a good snack. Beans and lentils will make a satisfying meal.

We over eat because our bodies are not satisfied. Processed or fast foods are the worst type of meals you can eat because of the addicting additives or preservatives in these types of food. Studies are showing that these additives are not needed in the food. The question should be ask than "Why are these additives added to processed or fast foods?"

Forget what the diet and fitness industry is saying about nuts, seeds and eggs. These foods will satisfy your body and stop the craving. Eggs are a nutritious food, 7 grams of protein. Another excellent food is salmon.

Salmon has the omega 3 fatty acids, which is good. Salmon also assists in reducing inflammation and boosts our immune system. Reducing inflammation which will aid the "fatburner" hormone, adiponectin.

According to Rob Poulos, a balance of fats, carbohydrates and proteins will help your body's metabolism, resulting in fat loss. Complex Carbohydrates are whole grains, breads and cereals. Candy, soda pop, and white floured baked goods are energy depriving foods. These types of food you want to avoid.

Protein from lean meats, fish, beans and legumes will assist you burning fat and at the same time satisfying your body, which is crucial. Consuming most of your calories from beans and legumes is a wise choice.

Fat burning exercises are high intensity resistance type (HIRT) exercise and high intensity type exercise (HIT). A combination is an excellent choice and each one is to be done with intensity. High intensity type exercises are walking or elliptical (biking), performed to a point of collapsed. High intensity resistance type exercise is weight lifting, this exercise to be performed briefly, infrequently and intensely. Both of these exercises benefit both men and women with excellent results long-term.

A fat burning diet comes down to the satisfaction of your body. Constantly fighting your body's cravings will make you vulnerable to high calorie foods. Combining the high intensity resistance type (HIRT) exercise and high intensity type exercise (HIT) with a fat burning diet will give you a successful lifestyle.

Best Nutrition Tips to Make Your Body a Fat Burning Furnace

By
Are you interested to burn excess fat? If that's the case, then you need to try out the nutritional tips that have been included in this article. There isn't any hard and fast to speed up your fat loss process, go slow but be steady in your efforts.

• Many people think that effective fat loss can be
attained by skipping breakfast. But then, this isn't the truth, in fact, if you want to lose fat and keep your weight maintained then you need to have your breakfast. In addition to this, you need to go in for a couple of strength training exercises. If you skip your breakfast and straightway have your lunch then you will be at a high catabolic state. Over and above, if you skip your breakfast, then your body receives a fake starvation signal.

• Cut down on your intake of sugar. Before you purchase a commercial food item, make sure to go through the labels. It is because these products contain hidden sugar, even the fat free ones. The digestion capacity of the simple sugars is pretty fast and they may increase your blood glucose level almost instantaneously. Next, this allows your body to release insulin in large amounts. low level of blood glucose may further lead to hunger, food cravings, mood swings, decreased energy etc.

• It has been revealed by studies that people opting for four to six smaller meals have less body fat than those consuming two or three meals in a day. So as to maintain your blood sugar as well as insulin levels, you need to go in for fewer amounts of simple carbohydrates and more amount of complex carbohydrate. In addition to this, make sure to have lean protein and fiber rich diet after every three hours.

• Ensure including protein in your diet. It is because, a protein rich diet will speed up your rate of metabolism and allow your body to process, digest as well as utilize foods at a greater speed. A high protein diet helps in effective fat loss chiefly because of its thermic effect. In fact, protein runs at a lower risk of getting converted into fat when compared with other nutrient.

• Make sure you stick to wholesome, real fruits, foods, whole grains, vegetables, lean protein and much more.

• Ensure having veggies in sufficient amounts as they contain rich source of fiber and fiber promotes weight loss. Over and above, veggies are also known for their antioxidant properties. You can have them either steamed or raw.

• If you want to keep your blood glucose level under control, then stop feeding yourself only on carbs. You can instead have a balanced diet of healthy fats, carbs and protein. This will make you feel much better.
• It would be better if you prepare your own meal. This is not only a cheaper option, but also prevents you from having any unhealthy food.

• Drink water in sufficient amounts and exercise a lot
The above mentioned ideas will help you attain your fat loss goal.

What To Consider When Choosing Fat Burning Workouts For Women

By
All fat burning workouts are not created equal. Women who are serious about losing weight should be looking for routines that are specifically designed for them instead of utilizing generic programs that could be for men or women. Ladies have special needs when it comes to working out, and the program you choose should be one that addresses
those needs and still gets you the results you are looking for.

One of the biggest problems that using generic methods can bring is that they do not focus on the areas that women want to work on. Men will usually want to affect changes to their chest and abs, which is why so many generic routines focus on those two areas. Women generally want to see results in the lower body, and that requires a different set of exercises altogether. As ladies start browsing through different fat burning workouts, it is important to read what parts of the body the exercises focus on and choose the ones that will create results where you need them.

Another difference between male and female routines is the amount of repetition that each use. Men tend to do fewer reps but more sets. The female body functions more effectively when the routines are paced at a clip that is more natural to their build. Aside from reducing the intensity of the exercises, women may want to slowly increase reps and decrease sets. This will allow the ladies to take more well-timed breaks that can help their bodies to take full advantage of the work that has just been done.

Whether some ladies like to admit it or not, women should be very careful with the weights they use during fat burning exercises. Men generally move up in weight very quickly and at higher increments than women.

To avoid injury while still getting the desired effects, the female workout crowd should avoid using weights that are too heavy for any routine. This is why it is generally recommended that ladies increase the number of repetitions that they do. Adding more weight to a female workout routine is dangerous and counter-productive.

A general problem that ladies have with using generic workout systems is that they wind up getting results that men would appreciate, but that look awkward on a woman. When men attempt to lose weight, they will also try to add bulk to certain parts of their bodies. That means that ladies who attempt to use male workout methods may lose weight in their abdomens, but they may notice that their shoulders have increased in mass. It can create an awkward look that could take months to correct.

The most important thing that a woman needs to remember is that losing weight naturally is better than using cosmetic surgery, so any steps taken to increase fat burning exercises are good moves. But it is important that females hunt down exercise routines that are designed for their benefit and avoid using generic routines that generally benefit the results that males are looking for.

How To Lose Weight Quickly - Tips To Get Your Fat Burning Fast!

By
If you have an important event looming on the horizon, or you want the perfect bikini figure for lounging around on the beach over the summer, and you need to know how to lose weight quickly, everywhere you go you will see quick fix schemes, supplements and surgery options that promise amazing results but that may be painful or ridiculously expensive.

Stop right there! You don't need to spend any money or go through an operation to get rid of your excess fat. In order to lose weight fast, you just need to get serious about it! This means sorting out your diet and coming up with an exercise regime that will get you the best results in the shortest time.
The first thing you need to do is assess the foods you eat realistically. Can you do better? I'm sure you will find that a lot of the food you eat has far too much fat content. You will need to eliminate as much saturated fat as you can from your diet. That means forgetting about your frying pan for a start! Grilling food as opposed to frying it can cut out a lot of fat. Try getting low fat spreads and sauces, and go for lean meats and more vegetables.

You will also need to lay off the fizzy drinks. Carbonated drinks contain a lot of calories that will not do your weight loss plan any good. Try to drink water instead, and for a hot drink try green tea, which even helps you to burn calories!

Knowing how to lose weight quickly is in part knowing how many calories you take in and keeping it at the right level for the amount of exercise you get, which moves us nicely on to our next topic!

You will not lose weight quickly without exercise; it really is as simple as that. You should try to do some form of aerobic exercise on a daily basis. If you really want to lose that weight fast, an hour a day should be seen as the minimum amount of cardio training. This can be anything from running or cycling to swimming or some form of aerobics class at the gym. Aerobic exercise is by far the best way to burn excess fat, think about it, have you ever seen a pro runner that was overweight? I doubt it.

The amount of weight you can lose in any set period of time depends almost entirely on how much effort you are prepared to put in. Of course this doesn't mean you should push your body too hard, but you do need to take exercise and diet seriously to get anywhere. Now you have learned how to lose weight quickly, you just need to go and put it into practice! Good luck!

Fat Burning Secrets for Women

By
Body Fat Distribution
Women bear almost double the amount of body fat as men, primarily to help them carry and nourish babies. Fat is the major energy source needed for fetal development and protection. We have no control over where the fat cells decide to swell and shrink.

The fat cells in the lower body, where women tend to put on inches, are more prone
to fat storage. The fat cells in the upper body, where men tend to carry extra weight, are more prone to releasing fat. Women who have dieted will notice that as they lose weight, body fat starts melting away from the upper body first, followed by the persevering lower body fat.

The Simple and Basic Truth About Effective Fat Burning

By
What is the most effective fat burning method available?
Many of us may have out on a pound or two over the festive period and may be looking for an effective method to get rid of them. Having put on a few pounds myself in the last six moths after breaking a leg, I have recently conducted a lot of research into the topic of fat burning and tried a few of the suggested pills potions
and diets as part of the process.

The simple truth - I have started to realise that there is a very simple truth surrounding the whole fat burning and weight loss industry. There is no one simple "easy" way to shift fat. In short, you need to burn more calories than you are ingesting, it really is that simple! The question is what is the best way to ensure your success in doing this?

The solution - Again, I have found the answer to be relatively simple. You need to replace some of the fat in your body with muscle. The reason for this is very simple. You muscle cells, (even when at rest), will burn more calories than fat cells, so the more muscle cells you can build, the more calories you will burn.

OK - I agree that this isn't rocket science or the first time you may have read something similar, but what you may have been missing is an effective method of doing this. We are all different and our bodies respond in different ways, but based on this simple truth, everyone can start to burn off that excess fat by doing a few simple things.

Fat Burning Exercise

Of course, taking sensible measures like proper nutrition and understanding a bit about how your body works will help. But you also need to find an exercise regime that will help you to achieve the results you are looking for.

One of the most effective ways to do this is through high intensity fat burning exercise. Just a few short bursts (3 times a week) of high intensity training, will make a dramatic difference, and you don't need to pay large gym fees to do it!

Resistance training can be done at home starting with simple things like squats and press ups. Here is how it works.

The method - By training in short sharp burst (no more than 15 mins per session), you are aiming to put your muscles through their maximum effort - in other words, until it hurts! Like most exercise, this damages the muscles. During the rest phases, your body repairs this muscle by building more of it, using fat reserves in the process. More muscles burn more calories, so the cycle of fat burning will ultimately help you to achieve the body you desire.

The best programme - There are many exercise programmes out there, but by far the best I have found is the Fat Burning Furnace, which explains in simple terms, the benefits of this type of approach, along with other great tips and advice

How To Choose Fat Burning Exercises

By
Whether we like it or not, many of us are carrying too much fat around with us on a daily basis. Whether on the hips or on the belly, it is important to include fat burning exercises in any fitness routine since excess body fat can cause significant health issues - especially with obesity now being the number one cause of death in the United States. However, once you start to look for exercise programs that will take off that fat, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the process.

The first and most important point to clarify is that elimination of fat needs to be both an exercise and dietary combination. Depending on the type of diet that you are interested in, you may like to embark upon a
comprehensive diet program such as the Atkins diet or a calorie counting diet such as the Weight Watchers program, or simply take the time to look at the fat content on packaging and cut down on the amount of fats that you ingest.

If you are unsure about the amount of fat that you have in your body, many gymnasiums have special fat measuring tools which will give you precise readings. However, in your own home you can simply gently pinch using your index finger and thumb around the stomach area. If you are able to grab approximately one quarter to half an inch of skin then your fat level is satisfactory. If you are pinching an inch or more, then you need to take action, whether this is dietary or exercise or preferably, a combination of both.

The best fat burning exercises are those which involve aerobic exercise in which your body is burning off fat.

There are a huge range of aerobic exercises available at your local gym or in DVD form, ranging from Tai Bo and high impact aerobics to more traditional aerobics. Many gyms offer free trial classes so that you can choose the activity of your preference, so take advantage of these whenever possible.

In addition, you may like to supplement your overall aerobic exercise with specific exercises which target problematic areas. Callanetics is a complete exercise program which purely focuses upon toning and eliminating fat from specific areas.

The advantage of these exercises is that they do not require aerobic activity, and thus can be done at any time by anyone of any age. Books and DVD's are readily available.

Overall, fat burning exercises are available in a wide variety of types and activities. It doesn't really matter how you lose the weight, with the emphasis instead being upon the fat being lost. By combining a sensible diet and structured exercise, it is relatively easy to target your areas of excess fat and through sustained activity, achieve the body of your dreams.

the market or choose to try out certain fitness work out programs, the choice is all yours.

Top Fat Burning Tips

By
What is the meaning of life?
Why are we here?
What is the secret to losing weight?
These questions plague us constantly, and while all of them certainly seem impossible to answer, only the third one has categorical evidence pointing you in the right direction. It might seem like the stuff of legend, but there really are fat burning tips out there that can help you lose weight and feel great!

Some people starve themselves. Others work out constantly. Some people take the expensive shortcut and have surgical interventions. The truth is that losing weight is hard work if you plan on keeping it off, but it doesn't have to seem like hard work.

Confused? Just because something is difficult at first doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it. There's a huge difference between working hard toward something you really want, and working hard just because you feel you have to. With these super-secret fat burning tips, shedding those pounds won't seem so grueling even though you're putting everything you've got into getting healthy.

1) Timely Eating: This is the easiest thing to do, so long as you have a little self-control. Your body processes food as it consumes it, and depending on what you eat, it may or may not stop working to burn fat sooner rather than later. If you're eating a balanced diet filled with protein-rich foods and natural starches, then you're doing okay. But the frequency of eating is just as important. Make sure you have smaller, balanced meals throughout the entire day instead of just two or three huge meals. Eating a tiny bit consistently keeps your metabolism working all day long.

2) Make a Plan: Everyone wants to lose weight, but what is your actual goal? Five pounds overall? Ten? Fifty? Whatever your goal is, it's important to determine it early on and then form a plan for getting there. This doesn't have to be intricate. It can be as simple as saying that you want to lose one pound a week for fifteen weeks. Keeping this simple goal in mind throughout the week will help you maintain focus and clarity throughout your weight loss period. If you know the end is in sight, keep charging forward!

3) Break the Fast: The saying, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is true! While you sleep, you're not eating, which means that your metabolism slows down considerably. When you start your day you need to start your metabolism up again and begin burning fat right away. Otherwise, your body will think it's still in a sort of hibernation mode and it will drag on and on without giving you the support you need to lose the weight. Grab a balanced breakfast every morning, filled with protein, some carbs, and a little fat so that you metabolism wakes up and gets to work.

4) Resist to be Fit: Eating right is one thing, but it won't do the job alone. You need to exercise, and one of the most important aspects of exercise is resistance training. This means hitting the gym or grabbing some weights for a good workout at home, because you should be doing this three times a week, with a day of rest in between each workout. Try to build up to 60 minute sessions and before long you'll notice a huge difference in the amount of energy you have and how much weight you're shedding.

While some of the greater mysteries in life may go unanswered for all eternity, of one the most common Earthly questions already has the answers out there. These fat burning tips are tried and true, they're proven, and they won't fail you. Just think of your goal weight and determine how these fat burning tips can aid you in reaching it.

Best Cardio for Fat Burning (Especially Belly Fat)

By

HIIT Hits Two Birds with One Stone
Everybody wants to burn their belly fat off (and keep it off) while limiting the amount of time they need to spend at the gym. People nowadays are extremely busy, and don't have time to spend endless hours on the treadmill or elliptical. This is where High Intensity Interval Training comes in - it is extremely CONVENIENT (does not take up a lot of time), and EFFECTIVE (beats any other type of cardio - especially boring, regular cardio). However, before I get into it, I must make a disclaimer: it won't be easy. Don't tell me I didn't warn you!

So What is High Intensity Interval Training? (HIIT)

High Intensity Interval Training is a training method that is performed on the tread mill. Before you smite me for telling you to get back on the treadmill when it never has worked for you before, know that HIIT is much different from regular cardio. During regular, boring cardio you jog at a moderate pace for 30 minutes to an hour. With HIIT on the other hand, you perform a number of intervals which consist of jogging at a very slow pace, followed by short bursts of intense sprinting (hence the name). Here's what an interval could look like:
A Typical HIIT Interval
-Slow jog for 1 minute
-SPRINT (or go at a very fast pace) for 20 seconds
Sounds easy enough right?

Unfortunately You Don't Just Perform One Interval

During an HIIT work out for optimal results, you must perform 8 - 12 intervals. So following the interval template I laid out above, you would slow jog for a minute, then sprint, slow jog for a minute, then sprint, and repeat for 6 - 10 more times. This may seem like a pain, but it is essential for the fat burning processes to occur that I will talk about below.

Time Efficient, But Requires Focus

In terms of time, this is not much of a sacrifice - you should be able to hop on the treadmill and be done in under 20 minutes (even with a 2 minute cool-down). But in terms of effort, HIIT is a killer. After each successive interval, your body becomes more fatigued. The minute long "slow jogs" go by in what seems like a second. You start to breath very heavy, and will probably end up gasping for air after the last interval.

Why HIIT is So Effective (It Has Something to Do with Hormones)

Due to the amount of effort that you must expend during each sprint in an HIIT session, your body is forced to release a ton of natural human growth hormone (HGH). This release of hormones will help your body retain muscle mass AND rev up your metabolism. What this means is you are not only burning calories during the work out (like with regular steady-state cardio), you are also burning extra calories for up to the
next 48 hours!

A Note on Equipment

Although treadmills can be used with great results, HIIT can be performed on many different types of equipment. Bikes, ellipticals, and even running outside all work. Just make sure that the equipment allows you to perform the "sprint" portion of the interval with a flat-out intensity. Unfortunately, you might have to cross the Stair Masters off the list. Also, to make timing the intervals less of a pain, investing in a high quality interval timer is a great investment. I like Gym Boss's - they have a vibrate option to not draw attention to yourself, and they have a wide variety of intervals you can experiment with.

How Often Should I Perform HIIT?

Depending on your fat burning goals, you may want to perform HIIT anywhere from 2 - 4 times per week. Due to HIIT's inherent intensity, I would not recommend performing it more than 4 times per week.

Prepare to Get Your Best Fat Loss Results Ever

This is a powerful cardio technique, but there's a reason why most people don't do it. It's tough. But persevere through it for a few weeks and I promise you will be more than satisfied with the results!
